Doing our part.
We recognize the impact that our actions have on the delicate balance between human life and the environment. The air we breathe, the water we drink, and the natural resources we rely on and utilize daily are in critical need of conservation. HOP Inc. respects the environment and recognizes the universal concerns regarding resource conservation. We are consistently focused on developing meaningful solutions to the aforementioned issues. Furthermore, we advocate an integrated conservation and waste management system, including: source reduction, material minimization, recycling, incineration, and safe landfilling.
Source Reduction/Material Minimization
The most important benefit of Zodia is its strength and durability. Products made with Zodia last longer and offer the potential for reuse.
HOP Inc. strongly supports and practices the principle that the use of recycled products is a critical part of resource conservation. Zodia is 100% recyclable as recycling number 5 plastic (polypropylene). Number 5 plastics are recyclable through curbside programs. They can be recycled into items such as: signal lights, battery cables, brooms, brushes, auto battery cases, ice scrapers, landscape borders, bicycle racks, rakes, bins, pallets, and trays.
Waste-to- Energy Incineration
Although not practiced extensively, Zodia can be safely incinerated. Under optimal conditions, it yields water and carbon dioxide, and leaves essentially no residue for disposal.
In the event that landfilling is necessary, Zodia can be safely disposed of in a landlfill once its use has been fulfilled. As Zodia is chemically inert and contains no binders, it will not seep into groundwater.
